Character Interview With Lori Pescatore

Lori Pescatore has kindly agreed to participate in a character interview starring the main characters in her most recent release Earth Blend, second novel in the Blend Series.

 The Author:
A preschool teacher by day, and a wife & mom by night. Although I love all of these titles, I can now add published author to the list of things I can consider myself. I was proud the day I got married, I was proud the day I gave birth to each of my boys, (now grown men) and I was proud when I got my certification to teach. My newest accomplishment in being a published author is my latest proud moment. Writing all my life for fun, family and friends, creating my own story and original characters has been a wonderful journey, one I hope is long lived. It is what I want the rest of my life to be about.
Human Blend is the first of a trilogy of books in the romance/fantasy/science fiction genre. It is what I love to read and what I love to write. I hope you enjoy my labor of love (Source).

 Character Interview
Today we have Julie, Eli, Austin, Marcus, & Percone, the main characters of Earth Blend, here to tell us all about the series & the author, Lori Pescatore.
First thing’s first, Percone, I want to hear this from you, what’s it like working for Lori Pescatore? Be honest!
Percone: I can think of a million things I would rather being doing. She is a human and I hate humans. The only good thing is she allowed me a voice, although I don’t think she puts down exactly what I am saying. Can you say censor?
Lori: Percone, this is a young adult book. Some things you say have to be censored.
Percone: Whatever.
Julie, would you please describe a little bit about the series, and the dilemmas you face without giving too much away?
Julie: Well, the series starts off with me running from my past. I was kidnapped at a young age and I am trying to stay hidden and live a normal life.  That does not work out too well. I’m able to do some… unique things. Basically, Human Blend follows my journey and introduces the reader to some very interesting people. Some of the dilemmas I run into are not fun.
Austin: We managed to have some fun times.
Julie: I did say some, not all.
Marcus: The best part was meeting me, right. C’mon, admit it.
Julie: You may have been the one to fill me in on just who I am, but classifying that as fun… not a chance.
Marcus: She sucks at lying.
Austin, Eli, Marcus, I want to know your thoughts regarding all the events that occurred in Human Blend?
Eli: It would be impractical to go through all the events.
Austin: You mean you want to skip the part about liking my girl.
Eli: I don’t really think this is the time or place to be discussing things like that.
Austin: When is the time? I’m ready right now.
Marcus: Doesn’t matter what you guys think. The readers all know she really has the hots for me, so save your breath.
Julie: Oh my God, enough! I’m apologizing to everyone reading this for their behavior.
Percone: You wonder why I hate humans.
Julie: Just move onto the next question, please.
Marcus: Avoidance, nice move.
Now, this is a question I would like each of you to respond. How do you feel the characters you play have progressed since Human Blend?
Julie: I feel in Earth Blend, I am a stronger person.
Austin: You are.
Percone: Gag me. I feel I am unappreciated in Earth Blend.
Marcus: What? You have a full chapter named after you. “Percone’s Story.” I don’t have a chapter named after me. In fact, I am missing from some key scenes. Not fair.
Eli: Stop whining. It’s not a flattering trait.
Marcus: You don’t seem to mind when Julie does it.
Julie: I whined considerably less in Earth Blend.
Marcus: You just admitted you whined.
As love triangles are present in this series, do you think Lori Pescatore would ever give any of you a happy ever after?
Austin: I’ll make it happen even if she doesn’t.
Eli: Happiness varies on each individual. Usually, though, one person’s happiness is another person’s sadness.
Percone: I personally hope everyone will be miserable.
Marcus: I’ll be happy no matter what. I make my own happiness.
Julie: I want everyone to be happy.
Marcus: I know a way you can make everyone happy.
Julie: Marcus, you’re a pig.
Are there any lessons that you have learned throughout the Blend Series?
Austin: Believe your gut first, question everything, believe nothing unless you see it.
Julie: I learned there are consequences to everything you do in life. Good and bad.
Eli: Human emotions are very confusing, complicated, and most often, irrational.

Percone: Earth Blend confirmed what I already knew, humans are the blight of the Earth.
Marcus: I’m awesome, I already know everything.
Austin: Not everything.
Can we get any hints for the final novel in the Blend Trilogy?
Lori: Book three, tentatively titled Blendability, will pick up where Earth Blend leaves off. The characters go through lots of changes and growing pains in book two.
Percone: Don’t forget cruel and unusual punishment
Marcus: I haven’t gone through any changes
Julie: Hopefully that will change in book three.
Austin: Growing pains? That’s an interesting way to put it.
Eli: I think the author accurately describes it.
Lori: Thank you, Eli. Book three will have more of a science fiction feel to it as danger mounts for all of the characters. A battle is coming. World lines will blur with deception, half truths, and startling revelations that will decide the fate of the Earth and it’s inhabitants. Lives will change forever. What is done cannot be undone.
Thank you for all of your wonderful answers and for being here today!
