For elite extraterrestrial pilot EBN-Reyoz-X, awaiting rescue while hiding out in a trailer park in Lancaster, California, is a grueling nightmare. She’s injured, lacks proper supplies and can’t blend in with the indigenous population because she’s seven feet tall and can’t control the trail of wildflowers blooming in the wake of her footsteps. She’s unprepared to begin sexual maturity in the alien land and when she develops feelings for Shale, the mute teenage boy next door, she’s convinced circumstances can get no worse.

Except rescue never comes and once word spreads that her touch holds miraculous healing abilities, EBN must find a way to fix her ship, evade capture by the United States Air Force and survive long enough to return home.

 Jenny’s Review:
This book is about EBN-Reyoz-X, she is an extra terrestrial from another planet, who is dispatched to the United States only to be stranded with no chance of being rescued. This book goes between what is happening on her own planet, and how she is coping with being in a foreign atmosphere in which she struggles with the way she has been brought up back home, and how against her traditions the united states is. She in turn has the ability to heal people and becomes revered for this. It goes through the struggles with coming into adult hood and the feeling that come with that, and her need and desire to get back to her home planet without being captured and tested on.
I found myself getting immersed in this book, and really enjoyed the dynamics between the main character and the people she meets. I also enjoyed the struggles that she endured trying to return home, live on a foreign planet and deal with going through sexual maturity. I found that I really wanted to know what was going to happen next, and loved the way this book was written, in an easy to follow way so as young adults would be able to understand it.
I loved the story line and the interaction in this book, as well as the growing into adult hood, seeing it from the point of view of someone who has arrived here from a different planet that has different values.
Overall I give this book a 4/5 as it was captivating and I can’t wait to see what happens next for the characters. I found that I really do want to read the next book in the series. I feel this would appeal to young adults who like extra terrestrial but also like the familiar concept of what they know written in an easy to read and interesting way.
