Teens who discover they were secretly genetically altered before birth are brought together at a classified site where they forge new friendships, find love, develop “super-abilities,” and even unearth a conspiracy.
 Pam’s Review:
Solid is a book about 100 kids that find out someone from the government genetically altered them before they where born. The government has stepped forward to help them and to see if there is anything wrong with them. They set up a camp to test them away from everyone including their parents. The kids band together to find friends, love and solve a mystery.

This story is from Calliope’s POV but she prefers to be called Clio. Clio becomes friends with Garrett, Bliss, Jack and Miranda. She even finds herself in the start of love. She is a strong, pretty, smart and loyal girl. I liked her character.

Great plot and characters! I got sucked into the story and didn’t want it to put it down. It starts of good and just gets better as it goes on. Clio and her friends all find they do have something different about them and learn to accept that. Her group she gets put in all think that they are the normal ones but they aren’t normal. They are very special. Clio and her friends uncover some secrets and have a mystery to solve. They have to learn who to trust and who not to. The phones don’t work and neither does the internet. They are all alone with mysteries coming unraveled. I won’t spoil the story but it has a shock and twist I didn’t see coming.
I loved this story and actually went NO when it ended. I wanted it to keep going. I cant wait to read the rest of this series to see what happens to the friends and the couples. Great YA book with friendship, love, mystery and action. A must read and a great start to a series. Highly recommend this book. The author did a great job.
