Janelle never thought the spiral birthmark on her arm meant anything. Until she sees Gary materialize out of a hurricane – with a mark just like hers. When she squeezes the truth from Gary about their markings, it’s terrifying. Janelle and Gary are more connected to the destructive power of storms than she thought possible. Learning the truth about herself is only the start of her nightmare.
 Jenny’s Review:
This book is about Janelle, who up until recently just thought that the spiral birthmark she has is un-usual. As a hurricane takes hold she meets Gary and starts to find out that the birthmark she has is not as un-usual as it first seems. When she finally gets some answers from Gary her life gets turned around in what Janelle thinks is the worse way possible.
I found this book hard to put down, I loved following the story of Janelle. The story behind her finding out she is not all she seems is really well written, and the continuation of the story through her coming to terms with what she is and what she has got to do is so well worded it has you wanting to read more. I loved the relationship between her and her dad, as well as the new relationships she forms with Gary and new members of her family that she doesn’t even know she exists. This book does take a few twists and turns that are not expected, but they do make the book all the better to read.  I cant wait to read the next book in this series and find out what is going to happen to Janelle, as well as what is going to happen in the relationships she is forming and what her future holds for her now. All credit goes to the author for writing this book that I think YA will love to read.
I loved the whole concept of this book and I really want to know what’s going to happen next in Janelle’s life now everything has changed.
Overall I gave this book a 4/5 it is a well written young adult book that I believe they will enjoy reading. I loved ho well written it was and that the story line flowed really well. The characters are amazing with room to grow I hope to be able to read the next book in this series to find out where everything is going to go.
