Blog Tour: Author Guest Post With Jennifer Malone Wright

Jennifer Malone Wright, has kindly agreed to guest post about her inspiration for becoming a writer in honor of her complete collection release of, The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter.

 About The Author:

Jennifer Malone Wright resides in the beautiful mountains of northern Idaho with her husband and five children. Between the craziness of taking care of her children, whose ages range from fourteen all the way down to six months, and being a homemaker, Jennifer has little time left for herself. The time she does have left, usually leading far into the night, is spent working on freelance work or her beloved fiction.

When she grew up, Jennifer always had her nose in a book. She has been writing stories and poems since grade school. This love of the written word and her strong interest in the paranormal is what has led to her first novel “The Birth of Jaiden.”

In addition to being a mother and homemaker, Jennifer is also a very proud military wife. Moving around the country for the last ten years has made her a bit of a nomad and she finds it difficult to be in one place for too long.

Jennifer is also the author of The Birth of Jaiden, a paranormal novel filled with action, suspense, and even a love story.

Becoming a Writer
Even when I was a young girl I knew that I was going to be a writer. I loved reading with a passion, I still do. I discovered that not only did I love reading, but I loved writing too. In grade school I wrote stories and poems. I actually wrote a poem in third grade called “Death to me was very kind” and I’m sure all the teachers thought I was disturbed. But, it was around then that I really discovered myself and what I wanted to do.
Once, in like the third grade I think, we made books out of cardboard, pretty wall paper and duct tape. We wrote our stories in there and then were allowed to take them home. I wanted mine to go in the school library, so I bothered my teacher until she took me over to the library and convinced the librarian to put it in the library. Lol, my first book! It was entitled “The Three Princesses.”
My whole life people have told me that I needed to do something else in life because writing would never pay the bills. I thought, and thought, and thought about it and even worked some jobs and then eventually did a few semesters of college, but nothing ever made me happy like writing.
I got married when I was 21 years old, and my wonderful husband has always encouraged my writing and worked hard so that I could stay home with our kids. (we have five now) So, because of his encouragement and love, I was able to finish my first book and then a second one.
It took a long time, but with hard work and determination, I managed to accomplish my dreams and I love doing it. The road wasn’t without its rough spots, and there are bound to be more ahead, but at least I can help pay some bills by doing what I love…writing.
