A mission gone wrong sees her sent to Paris to cool off, but when a dark and deadly warrior with a gaze of golden fire lands in her life, she ends up burning hotter than Hell for the wicked angel. *This is an adults only read*
Her Wicked Angel was a fun, sexy read. This is definitely for an adult, the romance got a little hot at times. I loved the chemistry between the Liara and Asmodeus though. I do wish had read the previous books in this series. I didn’t feel like I was missing out on too much, but it was clear that there were stories behind some of the other characters. The two main characters were together from the beginning of Her Wicked Angel and I really enjoyed that.
Liara was kind and good, but with a wicked, mischievous streak a mile wide. I really enjoyed that from the moment she met Asmodeus, that she wanted to figure him out. Liara actually made me laugh a few times with the way she would be snarky to him, and he would completely miss it.
Asmodeus won me over because he he tried so hard to be evil, but I never really felt it. He seemed to be all bark and no bite. He would protect Liara at all costs, but I didn’t see him maliciously hurting anyone. It just felt odd to believe that he was absolutely evil, but Liara was the exception especially since before she even came along he rescued the dogs.
Felicity E. Heaton did a fantastic job of creating a world and characters that were fun. I did find myself laughing a few times at the antics between Asmodeus and Liara. The tension was between them from the very beginning.
I had to turn my brain off a bit in order to enjoy this book, but that’s part of what I love about paranormal romance. It was a little difficult at times to wrap my head around Asmodeus’ evilness so I would give this book 3.5 out of 5 stars. I definitely enjoyed this book as it kept me engaged and chuckling the whole time.
3.5/5 – A Great Read, Well-Written
