An unexpected affair leads to mind-blowing harmony in this Sea Breeze novel from New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines.

Jason is sick of living in his rock star brother’s shadow. So when he ships off to Sea Breeze, Alabama, he’s looking for a much deserved escape and a chance to blow off some envious steam. Falling for the local bad girl was definitely not the plan. But as the new duo enjoys some naughty fun in the Alabama sun, Jason learns that even though Jax is the musician in the family, he’s not the only brother who can rock someone’s world.

Misbehaving was a nice New Adult read. It was fun, engaging, and had a nice twist that kept the drama going. I liked Jess, and her hardcore partying ways. It was a little different to read about the bad girl instead of the bad boy although I didn’t feel like Jason was a paragon of virtue. I liked that she wasn’t afraid to be herself, and she had a tough as nails attitude.

Jason was harder for me to feel bad for because he did have so many privileges, but while I did understand his frustration I felt like it was a little more dramatic than it needed to be. However, Jason was a great guy and I liked that in the end he wasn’t afraid to be there for Jess when he needed to be. I did wonder with some of the revelations that came at the end of the book why he continued to let his mother rule his life for so long, but that’s just secondary.

I truly felt bad for Jess, she had a rough life and it made me wonder how many people get caught in the trap that they can’t better themselves. Not everyone has a Jason to come rescue them from the terrible choices they have, and so that really got to me. I thought it was incredibly brave of her to make the decision that she did. I admired Jess a lot in this book, and really felt like she was given a bad reputation by everyone else.

I really enjoyed this book, and felt it was one of Abbi Glines best novels. I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars. It’s not that it wasn’t great, it’s just hard for me to give such a fluff read a full 5 stars. I highly recommend this for a fun and interesting read.

4/5 – An Enjoyable Read, Well Written
