Casey Williams and her family are poor. Her parents work non-stop and so does she, just so they can keep the trailer roof from leaking.
They’re getting by fine enough when the headaches start. Then there’s the nosebleeds. And the inevitable doctor’s bills.
Fortunately for Casey, there’s an exclusive, quick, and almost easy way to pay it all back before her parents even have to know.
All she has to do is give a man she’s never met whatever he wants from her body.
Inside or out.

First let me just say, this story is a novella, and I wasn’t expecting that so the star rating was affected by that surprise. I did really like the beginning with the development between Cassie and Jonah. Having read Nikki Rae’s other series, Jonah didn’t seem nearly as mysterious as I’ve seen written in other reviews. That being said, I totally loved the idea of his ‘business’ and I had my suspicions before he included Cassie in what was going on.

The hardest part for me to swallow in this story was the ending and romance. I feel like the romance started to develop and really turn into something that gripped me, but then in the end it just felt forced and now they were totally and madly in love with each other, where the chapter before they were just starting to accept their feelings for each other.

That leads me to the real reason this novella only gets 3 stars, the ending. I needed more out of this story to just quickly end it felt like a dis-service to the characters. I’m not even really sure what’s going to happen with Cassie, let alone Jonah and his daughter. But the ending just kind of happened with no real sense of closure. I think this novella needs to be expanded. Not even into a full length novel, just expanded to include a little more detail on the lives that they are going too lead.

3/5 – Worth Reading
