She’s bad at love, but he’s even worse…

Marina is hot, blonde, and wickedly smart, but when it comes to men? She’s hopeless. Between her quirks and her lack of filter, there isn’t a man in Los Angeles that will stick around after the third date.

Her handsome, charming friend Lazarus has the opposite problem. Everyone wants to be his girlfriend, but he gets bored and moves on quickly.

There’s only one way to figure out why neither of them has cracked this love thing– they’ll date each other. On paper, it’s the perfect experiment. But in reality, things between Marina and Laz get complicated quickly.

They might be bad at love, but they are even worse at being friends.

Bad At Love was just so much FUN. It also got me to tear up towards the end, because there was just so much emotion between Marina and Laz. I definitely felt some The Play vibes in this one probably because it is a friends to lovers romance. However, Marina and Laz are completely different characters. Both of them are strangely responsible given their career choices, but they really knew who they were and who they wanted to become. The only thing eluding them was love.

I really loved watching Marina grow, and I identified with her on a major level. If I hadn’t found my husband I think that I could easily have ended up just like her! I also loved how adorable and awkward she is, because I’m SOOOOOO awkward. I just ended up loving Marina so much. And Laz was a deep, brooding character, but he also was really sensitive. As a parent seeing what both of them went through because of their parents just made my heart hurt. I think its inevitable that you mess your kids up a bit, but it is truly a shame how parents can be so callous to the needs of their children.

This is definitely a shining star in the long list of works that Karina Halle has written. It is funny, smart, engaging, and romantic. It literally has everything a person could want in a romance novel. 5 out of 5 stars.

I love him so fucking much that at times it felt like my heart was big enough for the whole world to live in. I thought that love could save me, save him. I thought love was the biggest most bad-ass force in this universe, capable of doing the impossible.
