New York Times bestselling author Tarryn Fisher delivers a pulse-pounding, fast-paced suspense novel that will leave you breathless. A thriller you won’t be able to put down!

Thursday’s husband, Seth, has two other wives. She’s never met them, and she doesn’t know anything about them. She agreed to this unusual arrangement because she’s so crazy about him.

But one day, she finds something. Something that tells a very different—and horrifying—story about the man she married.

What follows is one of the most twisted, shocking thrillers you’ll ever read.

You’ll have to grab a copy to find out why.

There aren’t words for Tarryn Fisher. I know I posted a review of F*ck Marriage not too long ago, but that book is Tarryn Fisher lite. It’s not a mystery, it’s just a woman dealing with life (which is something Tarryn Fisher excels at writing). However, twisty-turny mystery thrillers are where Tarryn Fisher lights up the damn sky. The Wives is a rollercoaster and a brain exercise all rolled into one.

It’s been almost 3 months and I’m still not sure what I read. Thursday loves Seth, but Seth loves her AND his two other wives. I don’t want to say more because going into this without any knowledge is really what made it work for me. I didn’t know what to expect from Thursday, and I didn’t know where her journey was going. Thursday was so very dysfunctional, and it started making me question what I really knew about this book. I had a lot of sympathy for Thursday, and for Hannah (wife #3) because they seemed to be the biggest victims. I did not see that ending coming and it made my mouth drop open. I had to re-read the last chapter twice, just to make sure my eyes weren’t deceiving me. They weren’t!

The last 20% of the book did feel a bit rushed, and that’s where it lost a star for me. It was a steady build up, and then it’s like the roller-coaster hit the top and went barreling down the track and ended before I really got a chance to enjoy it. 4 out of 5 stars.

4/5 – An Enjoyable Read, Well Written

“Women are stuck in a cycle of insecurity perpetuated by the way men treat them, and we are constantly fighting to prove to ourselves and everyone else that we are okay.”
